When you need pallet racks taken down, you need a crew that knows how to do it safely. Improper rack removal creates serious hazards: falling steel, unstable partially dismantled sections, and damage to the building floor. Source 4 Industries has been removing rack systems across Las Vegas for decades. We do it right, we do it safely, and we clean up when we are done.

When You Need Rack Removal

Businesses need rack removal for many reasons. You might be relocating to a new facility and the existing rack stays behind. You could be upgrading to a different rack system that better fits your current operation. Sometimes a business is downsizing and no longer needs all its racking. And sometimes a building lease is ending and the space needs to be returned to its original condition.

Whatever the reason, the process needs to be planned and executed carefully. Pallet rack components are heavy steel. A loaded 20-foot upright weighs several hundred pounds. This is not a job for a general labor crew with no racking experience.

Safety Comes First

Before we remove a single bolt, we develop a disassembly plan for your specific system. We identify which sections need to come down first, where temporary bracing may be needed, and how we will stage components as they come off. We verify that all racks are completely unloaded before disassembly begins.

Our crew follows a top-down disassembly sequence: wire decking and pallet supports come off first, then beams, then uprights. This prevents partially supported sections from becoming unstable. We use appropriate equipment for the job, from scissor lifts to forklifts, depending on the rack height and building layout.

Full Cleanup Included

When we finish disassembling your racks, we do not leave a pile of steel on your warehouse floor. We palletize or bundle all components, sweep the work area, and remove all hardware and debris. If you want the rack components removed from the premises entirely, we handle that too.

We Will Buy Your Racks

If the racks we are removing are in good condition, we will often make an offer to buy them. This can offset or even cover the cost of removal. We assess the condition on-site, factor in the type, size, and manufacturer, and give you a fair price. Racks that pass our inspection go back into our used inventory where another business can put them to use.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does pallet rack removal cost?
Removal cost depends on the size of the system, rack height, complexity of the layout, and building constraints. We provide a firm quote after an on-site assessment. If we buy back your racks, that amount is credited against the removal cost.
How long does rack removal take?
A small system (50 to 100 pallet positions) can typically be removed in 1 to 2 days. Larger systems may take a week or more. We provide a timeline as part of our quote.
Do I need to empty the racks before you remove them?
Yes. All racks must be completely unloaded before disassembly begins. We can coordinate timing with your operations to minimize disruption.
Can you remove racks while part of the warehouse is still operating?
In most cases, yes. We plan the disassembly sequence to isolate the work area from active operations. Safety barriers and clear communication with your team are part of our standard process.
